Leadership through action — strengthening systems, not dependence

In June 2025, AGF launched a leadership initiative to improve the quality and professionalism of quarterly reports from AGF partner schools.

Three AGF University students — Akudid Teresa, Rebecca Masiza, and Awal Moses — volunteered to support the AGF partner schools, dedicating hundreds of hours to reviewing and correcting financial and narrative reports to meet AGF standards.

Their support led to clear improvements in accuracy, structure, and adherence to deadlines, and strengthened communication and accountability between AGF and the schools.

Key Outcomes

  • Higher reporting quality and transparency

  • Better understanding of reporting standards

  • Faster response and submission rates

  • Increased commitment to learning and improvement

Next Step / Goal

The team recommends structured communication channels, standardised timelines, and targeted capacity-building to ensure consistent, reliable reporting in the future.

“We are happy to learn and grow from this opportunity of helping the schools.”
– Akudid Teresa

“The main gap is accountability at the institutional level. Reports must show ownership, not explanations.”
– Rebecca Masiza

“Strong reporting builds strong institutions. Accountability is leadership in action.”
– Awal Moses
